The Attention Arcade can deliver measurable results (learn more on The Science page) in as little as 3 weeks. In order to get those results, students need to train 20-30 minutes per day at least 3 times per week. So, one of the most important things you can do is to figure out how it will fit into your students’ day.
Research has shown that it helps to have a trigger. Here are a few suggestions:
- Right after lunch
- During a specific independent work time
- First thing in the morning
Fitting it into the school day can be challenging with all of the other demands of the classroom. However, I think you will find the benefits outweigh the hassle of finding the time. Training regularly is important because playing the Attention Arcade is like exercise! You have to do it regularly to get the benefits. (That’s why I exercise before breakfast, every day.)
With regular training, you will likely see improvements in your students’ attention skills. All of the participants that completed the training in our initial clinical trial saw improvements in at least one area of attention after regular training — most saw it in all three areas.
